Reza rahimi Lasko

Born in June 1979, Reza Rahimi Lasko has carved a distinguished path in the world of fine arts, emerging as one of Iran’s most celebrated realist painters. His passion for painting began early in life and gradually became a career marked by international acclaim and artistic excellence.

Reza holds a degree in Painting from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom, a credential that laid the foundation for his distinctive style and artistic philosophy. He further honed his skills and academic prowess by earning an official Artistic Degree in Painting from the Iranian Ministry of Culture, a rare honor that recognizes his exceptional mastery in the visual arts.

As a senior instructor at the Visual Arts Center of the University of Tehran, Reza has mentored many young artists, sharing not only his techniques but also his deep understanding of form, light, and emotion. He is also a licensed educator, officially authorized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture to run his own art school—nurturing the next generation of Iranian painters.

A proud member of the Iranian Painters Association, Reza’s work has transcended national boundaries. His paintings have been featured in numerous exhibitions both in Iran and internationally, including one of the most prestigious art platforms—the Florence Biennale in Italy. His work was selected by the jury panel of the MEAM International Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, Spain, affirming his position among today’s leading realist painters.

Between 2011 and 2018, Reza was recognized as a finalist four times in the Art Renewal Center (ARC) competitions in the United States, widely regarded as the world’s largest and most important realist art competition. This consistent recognition over nearly a decade speaks volumes about his enduring impact and the evolving strength of his portfolio.

His artworks have found a global audience, being published in various Iranian, European, and American art books. He was featured in the 60th edition (2021) of Lens and Art Magazine, a respected international art publication, and his profile is proudly listed on WikiArt Europe, where his contributions to contemporary art are documented for a global audience.

Beyond galleries and publications, Reza’s artistry has caught the attention of international media. A Russian news agency, ITAR-TASS, published an article detailing his artistic journey and achievements. Moreover, Iranian news outlet Tabnak ran a feature on his career, further highlighting the widespread recognition he enjoys both at home and abroad.
